A PROJECT CALLED MADNESS

Trends have graced us, this season, with the resurgence of ideals like ethnic prints, vintage aesthetic, fringe, and enormous accessories and jewelry line Project Madness has incorporated all of those things into a Spring/Summer 2009 line that still remains visibly awesome - where it easily couldve been too much.
Of the line, their blog boasts:
Madness is a project that combines 3 designers based in Jakarta. Those designers are: Ajeng Dewi Swastiari, Bonnie Natasha Arif and Vannie Astecat. They life in a dual perspective and also they believe everybody has two sides that are opposite. Their dark side even could make something creative. They define their project that made by their alter ego by adding craziness, unpredictable and things that are surreal that come from their dreams. As a result their collection is full of things that are unexpected. Madness is a project that combines 3 designers based in Jakarta. When their soul meets the body, it has it own way to put them up together without knowing the reasons, yet still reachable for them to see and to grab it. They believed that their alter egos would simply pull out such a breathtaking breakthrough in fashion nowadays and tomorrow. They are m a d n e s s.

& of this seasons collection:
Inspired by witchcraft life and tradition this collection definitely dark and gloomy, surreal and dreamy. This collection will be stand out among the pastel and bright color of spring and summer. Once you stare to this enchanting pieces you'll bewitched by their beautiful name and spells. We're using good leather, synthetic leather and synthetic snake skin with touch of sequins.
We put our heart and soul with little bit of our blood to make this collection amazingly surreal and beautiful

ModePass, Refinery 29, and Teen Vogue have all paid Madness compliments. There is a real handmade-yet-wellmade quality to these pieces and Im, personally, going to have to take a close look to see if there is anything (with minimal color) that I could grab to match my own wardrobe because jewelry like this doesnt come along too often and I could imagine at least one piece would be worth owning because theyre such a statement. Definitely a statement I could see making.
